The journey into law…

Manuela has worked in the legal profession since 2019 in a mid-sized Western Sydney law firm where she gained experience in various areas of law including Family Law, Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Estate Planning and Estate Administration, Employment Law, Immigration and Criminal Law (such as breaches of AVO/ADVO’s and minor offences) prior to selecting Family Law as her primary focus.

Experience in family law

Manuela has worked across the full spectrum of Family Law matters including divorce, parenting, property settlement, child support, spousal maintenance, and Binding Financial Agreements. Manuela’s experience in family law encompasses working on complex parenting matters involving family violence, drugs and alcohol and complex property matters involving large high net worth asset pools, trusts, and companies.

Manuela’s exposure to Family Law matters includes but is not limited to drafting Court documents such as Initiating and Response Applications, Applications for Divorce, Contravention Applications, Subpoena’s, drafting and reviewing Binding Financial Agreements and preparing matters for Mediation, Conciliation Conferences, Interim and Final Hearings.

Manuela has also regularly prepared Continuing Legal Education presentations for lawyers which allowed her to stay updated with changes and developments in family law.

Other areas of expertise

In addition to Family Law, Manuela also has substantial experience in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Estate Planning and Estate Administration, Employment Law, Immigration, and Criminal Law (such as breaches of AVO’s/ADVO’s).

The passion for family law

Manuela first became passionate about Family Law while studying it for her HSC and saw firsthand the impacts that Court proceedings and separation have on parents, children, and their families. This inspired Manuela to make the family law process easier for clients.

Manuela’s passion for family law allows her to work with clients to guide and help them in what is a sensitive time in their lives following a family and relationship breakdown. Manuela aims to minimise the impact of what is often a stressful time for clients and to achieve the best outcome for clients and their families.

Our care for clients

Manuela approaches matters in a client focused manner, exploring all options to reach a resolution without the intervention of the Court and seeks to minimise legal costs for clients. Manuela aims to ensure clients are provided with practical advice and are informed about their options and steps to resolve their matter at all times. Through Manuela’s experience in various areas of law, she is able to remain objective and consider all avenues and impacts of a client’s matter, allowing her to provide pragmatic legal advice to clients.

Manuela’s empathetic and highly driven approach to her matters, allows her to achieve the best result for clients and to be attuned to the needs and feelings of clients.
