Mark Machaalani – Solicitor Director

Mark Machaalani is an experienced litigator and commercial lawyer practising in the areas of commercial litigation, debt recovery, bankruptcy and insolvency, insurance law, property law, asset protection, retail and commercial leasing, the sale or purchase of business and conveyancing.
Mark has extensive experience acting for a vast array of clients including multinational insurers, banks, blue chip corporations, small to medium business through to local councils and individuals. Mark represents clients in all Courts and Tribunals throughout Australia and is a talented advocate with a high success rate at numerous hearings and contentious motion hearings.
Mark provides legal advice to various businesses and entrepreneurs regarding maximising value, reducing risk and devising exit strategies. He advises Australian and overseas entrepreneurs in industries such as information technology, telecommunication and e-commerce. Mark has a solid background in Information Technology and thus a strong passion for intellectual property and information technology law.
Mark has an ardent interest in helping others and promoting happiness and success through Self Help and Personal Development. Mark is the founder of Accomplishlife, a free website dedicated to providing Self Help and Personal Development articles and blogs to people all over the world.
As a law student, Mark founded Studentatlaw as a personal project, a website that assists all law students all over Australia with their legal studies.
Mark also speaks Arabic fluently and so is able to assist Arabic speaking clients with all their matters.

Dominic Nguyen – Solicitor Director
Diploma in Law & Bachelor of Construction
Dominic specialises in property law, commercial and business law, commercial agreements, conveyancing, insurance law, building and construction, public and products liability, litigation, general insurance, strata law, insurance disputes and indemnity matters.
Dominic has handled countless matters acting for Insurers and advising on a wide range of insurance matters, including unlitigated and litigated matters involving fraud, property damage, negligence, defective works, insurance coverage (indemnity) disputes, recovery action and insurance policy interpretation.
Dominic is an expert in building and construction law and provides high level of expertise to his clients. His strength in this area of law is supported by profound knowledge gained through his experience as an Estimator and Contract Administrator in one of Australia’s largest privately owned construction companies.
Dominic has acted and appeared for clients in a wide range of forums throughout Australia including Tribunals and Courts.
Dominic also speaks Vietnamese fluently and so is able to assist Vietnamese speaking clients with their matters.

Evelyn Beaver – Lawyer and Team Leader
Evelyn is pleased to join the team at Unified Lawyers in 2017 to head the firm’s Family and Estate Division.
Evelyn was admitted as a Solicitor to the NSW Supreme Court in 2010 and is on the Register of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia.
Evelyn also holds the following legal qualifications:-
- Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice – NSW College of Law;
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) – University of New England; and
- Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies) – Southern Cross University.
Evelyn studied law while employed in a range of in-house legal roles for a property developer and a large Australian food retailer. Evelyn has also had experience as a Client Manager for a large not-for-profit organisation having responsibility for client service across a high volume property portfolio and dealing with a range of complex property issues.
Prior to studying law Evelyn also gained extensive private practice experience in the legal profession as a Paralegal, PA and Trainer across a range of legal practice areas.
Since commencing practice in the dual role of a Solicitor and Team Leader, Evelyn has built on her broad legal knowledge, her skills in legal practice and project management, dispute resolution and training of junior solicitors and support staff.
The focus of Evelyn’s practice has developed into the core areas of Family Law and Estates. Evelyn’s commitment to providing high-quality legal service is based on her empathetic understanding of clients’ needs and her strong advocacy and dispute resolution skills. Evelyn is also actively involved in social justice and not-for-profit organisations and is currently studying a Master in Applied Law (Wills and Estates).
Evelyn also speaks and understands Greek and is able to assist any Greek speaking clients with their matters.

Marianela Raimundo – Property Lawyer

Marianela has a strong passion for property law and conveyancing. Marianela’s main speciality lies in conveyancing and the various branches within property such as off-the plan conveyancing, commercial purchases and sales, residential purchases and sales, transfer of property and commercial and retail leases. Marianela acts for numerous developers in their sale of off-the plan units by preparing their contracts for sale, negotiating terms of the contract with the purchaser’s representatives and attending to the exchange of contracts. Marianela’s expertise in property law extends to acting for clients looking to purchase or sell a business in addition to dealing with leasing advices.
Marianela was admitted as a solicitor in 2013 and has been working in the legal profession since 2010. Marianela’s experience is not limited to Property and Conveyancing but also in areas such as civil and commercial litigation, debt recovery, criminal law, wills and estates, probate and family law.
Marianela appears regularly at various court mentions in the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court, Family Court, Federal Court and the Federal Circuit Court.
Marianela excels in building strong relationships with all her clients and ensures to make their matter as stress free as possible. Marianela also speaks Spanish fluently and is able to assist any Spanish speaking clients with their matters.

Mark Mahfouz – Consultant

Mark is a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He is also a Registered Migration Agent (MARN: 1382887).
Mark has helped hundreds of clients in obtaining permanent and/or temporary visas. Mark’s experience includes, but is not limited to, assisting clients with their employer-sponsored and nominated visa applications, sponsorship monitoring, student visas, onshore and offshore parent and partner visa applications as well as assisting clients to obtain their Australian citizenship.
Mark also works with clients in preparing review applications to the Migration Review Tribunal.
Mark is an expert in migration law and is a valuable asset for Australian businesses on matters including visa options and compliance with migration law. Mark also speaks Arabic and French fluently and so is able to assist Arabic and French speaking clients with their immigration matters.
