The journey into law…

Shanelle’s journey in the legal industry began during my second semester of university when she joined a Sydney law firm as an intern. Eager to gain practical, hands on experience, Shanelle immersed myself in the role and quickly developed a deeper understanding of the profession. After a few months working as an Intern, Shanelle was offered a position as a Paralegal. Since then, she has been thriving in this role, continuously honing her skills and deepening her passion for law.

Experience in family law

Shanelle has been working within Family Law for almost two years as a Paralegal. During her time as a Paralegal, she has assisted in drafting and revising legal documents such as binding financial agreements and parenting plans. Shanelle has also supported solicitors in preparing Court documentation for Family Law Proceedings. Shanelle’s experience has provided me with a strong understanding of the Family Law Act, as well as the practical skills required to manage sensitive case with professionalism and empathy.

Other areas of expertise

In addition to Shanelle’s Family Law practice, Shanelle also has experience in drafting Estate documentation including Wills, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship. Shanelle also has experience working in intense Estate matters such as Probate and Letters of Administration matters.

Shanelle has also previously worked as a paralegal within Children’s Care and Protection Law as well as Personal Injury Law.

The passion for family law

Shanelle’s passion for Family Law derives from her passion to create a meaningful difference in peoples lives during some of their most challenging times. Shanelle finds Family Law incredibly fulfilling as she is able to help clients navigate complex legal issues. Family law combines her interest in problem solving with her empathy for others, and she takes pride in supporting clients to achieve outcomes that promote stability and fairness for their families.
