The journey into law…
Nectaria has a history of working in the legal profession spanning over ten (10) years.
Prior to her admission as a lawyer, Nectaria gained experience working in a variety of practice areas including family, crime, conveyancing and wills & estates. Subsequent to her admission, Nectaria continued practicing in the abovenamed areas, with the majority of her workload revolving around family law matters. Thereafter, Nectaria became an Associate Lawyer practicing almost exclusively in family law, including parenting disputes, property settlements, recovery applications, binding financial agreements, applications for consent orders and divorce applications.
Experience in family law
Nectaria regularly appears before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in all aspects of litigation involving both parenting and property matters.
Nectaria has extensive experience across complex and high conflict family law litigation and is particularly interested in assisting parents in resolving disputes having regard to the best interests of the children.
Other areas of expertise
Along with criminal law and Wills and Estates, Nectaria has also practiced within the Care & Protection jurisdiction appearing against the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) in the Children’s Court, representing families seeking to be reunited with their children and has been successful in accomplishing same.
The passion for family law
Nectaria’s passion for family law was triggered in having been exposed to its stark truths early in life, which allows her to relate to and build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
Nectaria readily acknowledges the emotional and financial tolls that family law litigation can have on all parties involved, and so works tirelessly to assist her clients reach mutually acceptable resolutions in their matters, based upon logistically sound and fair solutions.
Our care for clients
There are many lawyers out there with excellent technical knowledge of the law and its application to various matters. What many lack, is the acknowledgment that as family lawyers, we are given the honour of not just dealing with the law, but also with supporting people who come to us for assistance at the height of very personal, real and often crippling family breakdowns.
This human element and the extent to which we can tangibly assist families, has always been and will always be most important to Nectaria in practicing family law.
Why Unified?
The answer is in the question – family.
Passion outside of the law
Outside the office, Nectaria is an avid reader, enjoys travelling and playing with her dog Alpha.
Other languages
Nectaria speaks Greek fluently and is able to assist Greek speaking clients with their matters. Να είσαι καλά!
