The journey into law…

Lauren started legal work at a start-up law firm where she gained first-hand assisting with litigated family and criminal law matters. This included research tasks, appearing in the Local Court, and compiling evidence for a Family Court appeal.

 

Lauren has previously practiced in the Sutherland Shire where she focused primarily on family law. Lauren has experience in running divorce applications, property settlements, parenting applications, mediations and final hearings.

 

Experience in family law

Lauren has been involved in complex family law property and parenting cases ranging from complex corporate structures, high net worth property pools and matters involving serious allegations of risk and family violence. She is skilled in providing thorough communication, drafting, negotiating, mediating, and advocating in Court when required.

 

Lauren has successfully been granted Special Leave to Appeal to the High Court of Australia from a decision by the Family Court.

 

Other areas of expertise

Lauren has experiencing in conveyancing, Wills, estate planning and Family Provision Claims.

 

The passion for family law

Lauren is a people person and was drawn to family law because it is a niche area of law that works with people who require help in difficult and emotionally challenging situations.

 

Consulting a lawyer can be daunting, however, Lauren aims to ensure all client’s feel comfortable, heard and are provided the appropriate legal options to move forward with their lives.
