The journey into law…

Charuna Chetty was admitted as a Lawyer in New South Wales in 2004 and is also admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia. She has worked at various law firms throughout Sydney as a Family and Criminal Lawyer where she has gained experience and insight into an array of legal matters as well as regularly appearing at the Parramatta and Sydney Courts. Prior to practising exclusively in family law, she practised in various areas of law including criminal law, family law, conveyancing, wills and estates and general litigation. This exposure to various areas of the law enables her to strategically consider her client’s matter on an individual basis and to provide practical and realistic advice to achieve the best outcome for her clients.

Charuna has extensive knowledge in Family Law and has successfully represented clients in a range of matters including separation, divorce, parenting matters, property and financial disputes, location and recovery orders, spousal maintenance, and child support.

Charuna has particular expertise in complex parenting matters involving mental health, drug and/or alcohol addiction and allegations of abuse and family violence; and complex property matters involving high net worth pools, companies and trusts.
