The journey into law…

Alysha commenced her legal career as a Paralegal in 2019, before taking on the role of an Associate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Alysha then jumped into private practice having worked across Sydney CBD and North Sydney firms as a family lawyer. Alysha has primarily practiced in the family law jurisdiction, however has gained general knowledge in other areas of law as a result of working for a generalist firm

Experience in family law

Alysha has experience across all areas of family law, including but not limited to, complex property and parenting matters, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, recovery application, high risk issues such as domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse, and binding financial agreements. Alysha has valuable knowledge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Rules and procedures and maintains professional relationships with officers of the Court and other specialist family law professionals. Alysha is an advocate for alternative dispute resolution and will always encourage and assist the settling of matters. She enjoys creating and maintaining client relationships and is passionate in ensuring her clients feel heard and supported from beginning to end.

Other areas of expertise

Alysha has predominately practised in family law since the beginning of her legal career. In addition, she has experience in drafting wills, power of attorneys and enduring guardianships. Alysha has also appeared in the Local Court from time to time, in the criminal law jurisdiction.

Alysha is passionate about assisting and supporting her clients through emotionally difficult times of their lives. Alysha’s time as an Associate really cemented her passions in family law.
