The journey into law…

In 2022, Alexis’ legal journey commenced where she interned at a boutique law firm specialising in personal injury. Alexis had the opportunity to work directly with clients and develop valuable administrative skills. In 2023, Alexis transitioned to a Sydney law firm where she worked as a paralegal in insurance law. Alexis’ diverse experience has provided her with a strong understanding of legal procedure and makes her highly adaptable. Despite this variety of experience, Alexis has always had a passion for family law and is dedicated to developing her skills while completing her studies in a Bachelor of Laws and Social Science

Experience in family law

Alexis’ legal experience has equipped her with the ability to draft legal documents, collate briefs, file documents, communicate with clients, problem solve in time bound situations, and use various software systems including LEAP and ActionStep. In particular, Alexis has an understanding for the importance of client communication and active listening to achieve an effective outcome.

Alexis believes in continuously developing her professional and personal skills so that she can be well versed in all areas of family and property law.

Other areas of expertise

Alexis has experience in various areas of law including personal injury and insurance law. Alexis’ experience in personal injury particularly has strengthened her ability to work directly with clients during times of disputes and contentions. Alexis aims to incorporate these skills while working within family law.

The passion for family law

Family law remains integral to society and the stability of individuals. Alexis understands the value that family law can have in mitigating unavoidable conflict and advising on the best interests of clients. She believes that family law remains one of the most personal areas of law and provides her with the opportunity to make a direct impact in the life of her clients, emphasising her commitment to act in good faith in all situations. The rewarding nature of family law and the ability to develop both personally and professionally drives Alexis within the legal profession.

Alexis’ passions outside of the law include reading, going to the beach, spending time with family, travelling, and going to church.
