Do all family law matters have to go to Court?

Absolutely not. In fact, statistics show that vast majority of family and divorce disputes are resolved without the Family Court having to make any decision.

What this means is that the parties have agreed amongst themselves as to the outcome of their dispute and have only used the Court to formalise their property or financial agreement and make it legally binding.
