Tia-Bree commenced her legal career in 2019 and has worked in top-tier and boutique law firms and has extensive experience with a range of different clients, with varying needs. She has exclusively practiced in family law since her admission in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2023.
The passion for family law
Tia-Bree can empathise with and acknowledge the emotional and financial stress that her clients experience during their family law matters, and the impact that this can have on their personal welfare. As such, she is devoted to assisting her clients to meaningfully and fruitfully progress and finalise their matters, with an outcome that they are each comfortable with.
Experience in family law
Tia-Bree has knowledge and experience in simple, complex and urgent matters relating to divorce, separation, parenting disputes, contravention applications, property settlements, spousal maintenance, child support agreements and financial agreements.
Tia-Bree specialises in court litigated family law matters and appears regularly before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divisions 1 and 2) in all stages of contested proceedings. Tia-Bree’s experience and expertise also expands to out-of-court family law disputes as she frequently represents her clients in mediations, negotiations and conferences.
She works with experts and specialists in the field for the purpose of ensuring that her clients have everything they need during their family law matters. She prides herself in being highly collaborative with colleagues, experts and specialists. In particular, Tia-Bree focuses on identifying opportunities to meaningfully progress her clients’ matters towards cost-effective and timely resolutions.
Other areas of expertise
Tia-Bree has gained valuable experience in succession law and has assisted clients in drafting simple and testamentary trust wills and codicils, enduring powers of attorney and advance health directives, memoranda of wishes and statements of intention. Tia-Bree also gained valuable experience while working at a top-tier, commercial law firm for the duration of her studies, and she applies such knowledge, where appropriate/needed, to her clients property settlement matters.
