The journey into law…
From 2014 to 2019, Jordyn worked in small to mid-tier law firms across the Melbourne CBD while completing a law degree. In receptionist and paralegal roles across multiple practice areas, Jordyn built a strong foundation and developed a keen understanding of each discipline’s nuances. In 2019, Jordyn joined a small family and criminal law firm in the CBD and discovered a clear professional focus. Jordyn has now spent more than 11 years in the legal industry.
Experience in family law
Since admission in early 2020, Jordyn has practised exclusively in family and criminal law, managing a wide range of complex criminal, parenting and property matters. Jordyn has significant experience across the family law landscape, including disputes involving:
- Significant family violence allegations
- Parental alienation
- Special needs children and complex risk assessments
- Spousal and child maintenance disputes
- Diverse property matters
Jordyn regularly prepares Binding Financial Agreements, Binding Child Support Agreements and court material. In addition to family law work, Jordyn has extensive experience in domestic violence matters, frequently appearing in Magistrates’ Courts across Victoria on behalf of clients, and applies this knowledge directly to family law strategy and advocacy. As an advocate, Jordyn also appears in mediations, dispute resolution conferences and court hearings in various jurisdictions.
Other areas of expertise
Jordyn has extensive experience in the criminal law jurisdiction. Early in her career, she saw the frequent intersection between criminal and family law matters, including but not limited to Intervention Order proceedings. She utilises this experience to deliver comprehensive, integrated advice to clients.
The passion for family law
Family law is often highly adversarial and emotionally charged. Jordyn found her passion in this field after seeing the tangible difference a careful, client-centred approach can make for individuals and their families. Whether achieving a strong outcome after prolonged litigation or finalising matters on agreed terms that bring stability, the relief clients feel at resolution is what makes this work deeply rewarding.
Because conflict can narrow perspective, many clients find it hard to see the broader path forward. Jordyn’s role is to provide clear, steady guidance that cuts through complexity, helps clients regain clarity, and keeps the focus on practical, durable outcomes.
Our care for clients
Jordyn prioritises pragmatic, clear and concise legal advice so clients understand their options and the pathways to resolution. She places strong emphasis on transparency and communication, ensuring clients feel supported while navigating matters that are often overwhelming and deeply personal.
Why Unified?
Jordyn wanted to join a firm which had ambitions for growth as big as her own.
Passion outside of the law
Jordyn enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
